Old Testament Laws

Yes – but!  Aren’t there all kinds of laws in the Old Testament about worship, sacrifice, tithing, unclean food not to mention the Ten Commandments and the annual festivals.  Should’t we be observing at least some of these?  After all various Jewish groups and ‘Christian’ denominations, especially ‘Sabbatarian’ churches, insist that some or many of these rules and regulations apply for all time.

Short Answer:  These rules constitute the Law of Moses which was given by God to Ancient Israel under the Old Covenant.  That Covenant has finished and we are now under the New Covenant.  The Laws of Moses no longer apply to Christians today.

This is an important subject which continues to be hotly debated. The short answer above will be augmented by individual posts and links to more detailed explanations.
